How To Stay Healthy With Sports Fitness

When you talk about sports fitness, what comes first in your mind? It is, basically, the different sports activities, right? This is because sports fitness has always been referred to as the sports itself.

Generally, sports entail physical activities that are usually carried out for some recreational functions such as self-satisfaction, entertainment, competition, etc. It uses physical activity that is why most fitness experts regard sports as one way of staying fit and healthy. It can also be considered as one way of physical fitness; the only difference is that sports fitness is more inclined to the development of skill or ability.

However, like physical fitness, sports fitness is also capable of toning down the body fats of a person. Because of its rigid and strict health program, a sports enthusiast is able to maintain a well-balanced lifestyle in order to cope up with the strenuous demands of sports.

In sports, people should learn how to value their health. Otherwise, they can never endure the kind of energy that is required when playing sports activities.

Therefore, for people who are into sports fitness, here are some tips that you could use in order to stay healthy and be active on whatever sports you want to pursue:

1. Drinks Lots of Water
Humans can survive days, or even months without food, but they can never last a day without water.

Water is, indeed, the most important element needed by the body. Excessive perspiration, without any means of replenishing the lost fluids will result to serious health problems, and even death. Therefore, for people who are into strenuous exercises and trainings, it is best to always drink lots of water.

However, for sports enthusiasts, water may not be enough to replace the kind of fluid lost. Hence, it would be better if they would have sports drinks instead. Aside from the fluid, sports drinks have tow additional important ingredients needed by a person who is into sports fitness: carbohydrates and electrolytes.

Electrolytes are usually lost during strenuous physical activity, and this can only be replaced through sports drinks. Carbohydrates, on the other hand, are also needed by the body during rigid workouts to provide more energy so that the body can cope up to the demands of the activity.

2. More Veggies
People who are into sports fitness require more intakes of vegetables and fruits. This is because the body is craving for more vitamins and mineral supplements. It makes the body stronger and healthier enabling it to cope up with demands of the activity.

3. Calcium Intake
People who are into sports fitness should have calcium present on their diet. This is to provide stronger bones to the body.

Since the body is more exposed to greater physical activities, it is important to have stronger bones in order to avoid fractures or certain bone diseases like osteoporosis.

Calcium can be found in different vitamin and mineral supplements. They are also abundant in foods like sardines, tofu, dairy products, etc.

4. Warm Exercises
Warm exercises are always important before any kind of strenuous activities. This kind of activity is needed in order not to strain the body. Hence, before playing the sports that you have always love, it is best to do some warm-up exercises first.

Indeed, engaging into sports activities is one great way of being physically fit. The best thing about it is that in sports, you get to enjoy the best of both worlds.

Walking is one of the BEST exercises one can do to get into and stay in good shape. Now, exactly what you mean by "good shape" may be an issue here, but, if you mean how healthy your heart and lungs are, well, walking is great, much better than running. I used to be a very avid (some called me maniacal or addicted) bicyclist years ago, but, since an on-the-job accident in 2000, I'm not capable of doing that anymore, but my doctor marvels at how me and my prosthetic leg can keep me in such excellent shape. You keep on walking! You're doing great!! God Bless you.

Muay Thai, no, with traditional Muay Thai you are looking at doing the ceremonies and actual practices that are traditional in their culture. Kickboxing would be more beneficial in my opinion because it incorporates your whole body, and fitness kickboxing does even more so. Fitness kickboxing is really for people who wish to loose weight, get real lean and have some fun while doing it. I know it just sounded like a commercial, but it does work wonders.

Actual kickboxing mainly teaches, while the fitness version is just like go in and do it so you burn some fat. I wouldnt suggest boxing just because anywhere you go really everyone will be there to compete. Anyone studying boxing is doing it for competition, not playing around.

If you are interested in a more art type of martial art, I would suggest Karate, they have many different types of karate and it is still fun and will make anyone loose weight really. Also they have a lot of competitions out there. Its the friendlier martial art, otherwise go with Tae Kwon Doe, its basically like a mix of kickboxing and karate rolled into one. In my personal opinion anyways.

I practice a lot of sports, more than the other girls in my grade. I do about 6 hours of dance (mainly ballet) per week now, two hours of soccer, one hour of basketball and one and a half hour of phys. ed at school.

What I do to eat healthy… I just throw out junk food, and I know when to say "no" to food. I chew slowly and put my fork down for 10 seconds after every bite so I can feel satisfaction easier. I drink a lot of water, prolly around 2L, and I love green tea. I actually hate sugary things except for jam and dark chocolate (milk chocolate makes my stomach churn..).

I love fruits and veggies, and I consider peanut butter as my cheat food that I have only once a week, along with a piece of dark chocolate. I love eating and I love my food. : ) I don't think it's healthy to think about dieting very much at my age (15) after experiencing very bad years with anorexia and bulimia (I am now in recovery and am gaining more weight, but I'm happy with that!).

I love taking walks after dinner, but right now the streets are covered in snow so I can't really do that : (

    Go to the playground.

I'm serious. Get a couple friends and find the nearest playground (with swings). Run around. Swing on the swings (tighten your abs and lean back when pumping…you use arm, leg, and ab muscles.) Play on the jungle gym, and climb up the slide.

Basically, act like a little kid. You can even take a playground ball with you and play with your friends. You'll get exercise just running after the ball you can't catch. ;-)

Bowling is another fun option. Pace around instead of sitting down in between frames.

You can begin by obtaining some career counseling. One excellent source is the vocational interest test given by many colleges./

I wish I had so many choices when I was in high school!!! Aerobic fitness classes would help you stay fit for basketball season, but, if you like jogging or skipping or other cardio exercise on your own, I would take advantage of learning a skill like the dance class. keep having fun and trying new things!
