There is a reason walking shoes and running shoes are always separated in department stores. Different sports and athletic activities put pressure and stress on the body in different ways and places. It only makes sense that footwear differs radically for each sport. But it is not only the shoe’s structure that should be different; different sports require shoes that fit differently. Read below to learn more about the appropriate fit for each kind of sports shoe.
Baseball: Shoes should fit snugly, but make sure you can still wiggle your toes when standing up straight. A good heel fit is very important as baseball shoes have a firm heel with very little padding.
Basketball: There should be approximately the length of a thumbnail between the big toe and the end of the shoe. (Note: If your second toe is longer than your big toe, use the second toe to measure the distance.) Some movement in the heel is permissible, but the heel should not slip up and down excessively.
Cross-Country Running: There should be approximately the length of a thumbnail between the longest toe and the end of the shoe. The heel can have some movement, but it should not slip excessively.
Football: Shoes should fit snugly, almost like a glove. Make sure that you can wiggle your toes when standing straight. Make sure the heel area of the shoe is firm with very little padding. A snug fit in the heel is absolutely essential.
Soccer: Soccer shoes should fit very snugly. (But make sure you can still comfortably wiggle your toes.) Look for a tight fit in the heel region; there should be very little movement up and down. The heel of a soccer shoe should be firm with very little padding.
Tennis: There should be approximately the length of a thumbnail between the longest toe and the end of the shoe. The heel can have some movement, but it should not slip up and down excessively.

Help answer the question about fitness sports
Do you think gym classes should stress individual fitness over team sports?I remember when I was a kid being the unpopular kid that nobody ever wanted on their team, and I've known many people that have been turned off exercise entirely by school gym classes. I eventually came to enjoy exercise after I spent a summer working a very physically demanding job, but alot of people don't. Team sports seem to favour the naturally athletic and popular kids. Would it promote lifelong fitness more if things like aerobics and weight training were emphasized over team sports?
I wasn't fat either, I was a very average sized kid

i like the 3rd one and it looks very sturdy….
For my running shoes, I went to a local store that specialized in running shoes. They knew how to measure if my feet pronate/supernate/etc. and they recommended shoes accordingly. If you can't find any local stores, find a running coach at a nearby school and seek specific advice from them. Good luck!
i sometimes wake up with bruises and scratches…maybe youre having violent nightmares and are kicking…or even worse..you may be sleepwalking and somehow hurting yourself. im not certain that any of what im saying is true, but it is a possibility…and sleepwalking is dangerous.
maybe see a doctor?
MTB shoes work fine. I use them for everything except racing. This includes commuting, fast-paced training, long epic rides, around town etc. It's great because you can walk in them.
They tend to be a bit heavier, and maybe just slightly less efficient, but don't sweat it.
Press your thumb on the tip of the shoe. Not your whole thumb (from the cuticle to the end of your thumb) that's how much room you should in have in your shoe for comfort. To make sure the shoe isn't uncomfortable when playing.
That's how my children was measured when I bought them shoes – to assure the shoe wasn't to tight and to allow their feet to grow into the shoe.
By the way, you do this standing up.
go ot the wedding, but put a ankle brace on it, and use a single crutch. that way, people would be able ot see you aren't able to fit your foot into a shoe, but wihtout drawimg as much attention ot yourself as you would wiht two crutches
or you and a frined, have the same shoes, but hers a a size bigger, fit it into that and wear yours sorry if thats kinda hard to follow. i know what im trying to say, but not how to say it!
